Donor Pages

The Goal? Help non-profit organizations to better utilize Internet technologies to attain their fundraising goals by developing a system that would allow fundraisers to create a web page and invite friends, family and coworkers to visit the page, read their story and make a donation. Epic River partnered with Softerware, Inc. to integrate this product with two existing product offerings marketed by Softerware, DonorPerfect and Weblink.

Overview

DonorPages is an easy-to-use online system that supporters can use to create personalized web pages supporting your cause or event, and even ask for donations on your behalf. Donors and volunteers reach out to family, co-workers and more via email, or using links placed on social network sites like MySpace® or Facebook®. These personal appeals are far more likely to be successful.

DonorPages can be used in conjunction with sponsored events like Walk, Bike, Run, and Dance-A-Thons, but it can also be used for capital campaigns, workplace giving or supporter-driven fundraising. Board members, volunteers, and committed supporters are typically happy to have an easy and efficient way to share their passion for your mission. Some potential uses:

  • “In Honor of”, tributes, or memorials
  • Donations in lieu of gifts for a party
  • Virtual events (tied to a specific goal, holiday or recognition)
  • Promote a dinner, banquet or other event, (including a link to a registration form)

The DonorPages software has two main components: the Non-Profit Organization Configuration and the Fundraiser Website Configuration.

Non-Profit Oranization Configuration

This module of the DonorPages software is viewable only by the non-profit organization and allows them to setup their Donor Pages. The organization uses this hosted browser application to determine what features will be available to donors in their configuration of individual donor pages. It provides the admin users with the ability to: allow/disallow team pages, define timeframe (single event, annual event, ongoing), create website template (layout, colors, navigation), upload organization graphics (banner, logo, etc.), create email templates, and invite fundraisers. The organization will use this module to determine what features will be available to donors in their configuration of individual donor pages.

Fundraiser Website Configuration

This module of DonorPages allows an individual fundraiser to create and monitor a website, invite friends and family to donate, collect donations, and provide goal achievement status. Fundraisers can upload photos, add personal story, display settings (show who has donated, how much money the individual has donated, and totals for team), create team, join team, send invitations, and promote page.  In addition, a fundraiser can promote their page by copying a block of html code into their blog, personal website, or social networking site.  This code will display a graphical widget of the individual’s fundraising goal, current donations received, and button to link back to the individual fundraising page.
